The search for the plant that would have the capacity and the capability to create new units of the Toyota Highlander has already been done. And the search has sure been successful. As per the end of Toyota officials, they have come out to say that the new facility would be responsible for building an annual number of 150,000 Toyota Highlander sport utility vehicles as well as good amount of body parts for the various vehicles created by Toyota. Exciting as it may be, production for this vehicle is going to start by the year 2010 still.

One of these would be that the state is going to be able to reap in more income that they could use for the development of the region. Plus, officials are saying that Toyota has promised some 2,000 new jobs that would arise because of the building of the new facility.

Governor Barbour is quite elated at this piece of development and he says, We in Mississippi and especially North Mississippi are excited to have been chosen by Toyota as its partner. Toyota is the worlds premiere auto manufacturer and our state will be the best partner the company has.

Even Trent Lott, the states senator, is very much excited by this piece of good news. He was even reported to have mentioned, Were honored that Toyota has chosen to invest in our state and grow with Mississippians. This is a partnership between one of the worlds best companies, and a state which has already proven itself capable of attracting the worlds top defense, automotive and aerospace jobs.
