BMW M3 Coupe
BMW 3-Series M3 Coupe
The M3 has always had a firm place in the hearts of car enthusiasts the world over ever since it made its debut in the 1980s. Despite the fact that it has been pumped up to be better suited for the road its top spot as one of the best driver’s car in its class has not wavered nor faltered much to the relief of the fans.
The M3 lives up to its reputation with its 0-62mph under 4.8 seconds. It also boasts a 4.0-litre engine that gallops at a 420bhp at an impressive 8300rpm. This vehicle also comes supported with a V8 and a six-speed manual transmission. The good folks at BMW have decided to add the electronic damper control with its three settings being “comfort” “normal” and “sport” that are easily accessed by the button located on the centre console. The “normal” setting is used for optimal driving in all possible conditions “comfort” gives the car a firmer feel and “sport” allows for more body control. Although the car uses various fuel-saving measures it is still equipped with hydraulic power for the improved feel. You can also sharpen your steering and up the responsiveness of the car with the M Dynamic Mode button.
The car comes with a warmer tone with its comfortable four-seater and leather seats. The car can take a minimum 430 litre luggage volume complete with a luggage net boot compartment power socket and bag compartment as optional features. 60/40 split folding rear seats headlight washers and xenon headlights satellite navigation cruise control and the like are also included with all the M3 models. Besides the standard titanium effect plastic finishes it’s possible to choose for aluminium and the carbon-structure leather which is typically leather made to look like carbon fibre.
The M3 is made with safety as a priority so it is no surprise that they come up tops in that department. There are front and side airbags located for front seat occupants with head airbags as well for all four passengers. The M3 was put to the test in official European crash tests and were successful in all tests. As with other BMW models the M3 has the electronic stability control which helps the driver should they lose control and skid in the car. It is important to make sure that your M3 goes through its regular servicing as an M3 is only perfect if it is in its optimal working conditions.
As you can clearly see the M3 is a power machine that has little or no flaws. It is a dream car for many and stays true to its nature. It would also be good to take to hear that this car has been designed to reduce fuel consumption and carbon dioxide emissions even though the boys at BMW have increased the car’s engine size and its capacity for power. This will make you feel rather guilt-free as you’re speeding down the highway knowing that even though you’re having the ride of the life you’re also being environmentally conscious about it.
