Chrysler 300C Touring CRD Car Review Overview The driver and passenger seats are heated and quite large in size compared to most other vehicles. Your passengers in the rear can also enjoy a center armrest as well. If you want, or are in need of a car with a lot of leg room, then the Chrysler 300C Touring CRD is definitely the car for you. In conclusion, the Chrysler 300C Touring CRD is nothing but a truly amazing car. Details One of the features that you certainly wouldn't expect to find in a luxury vehicle is the analogue clock. For many people, it has been quite a while since they looked at clock with hands on it and it may seem very old fashioned. Though, the clock actually fits the car very well and doesn't take away from the luxury experience at all. The climate and radio controls are in great locations and are very easy to use. You won't have to get used to any crazy buttons and the tasks don't involve too much work. The center console's glove box is very spacious and is actually one of the largest I have ever seen. It makes storing your belongings in this console much easier.
When Chrysler made the first public statement about the new 300C it sparked interest in many drivers. Once it was said to be coming to Australia, many excited Aussies were awaiting its arrival and some even decided to put down a deposit on it without setting a foot in the vehicle. The Chrysler 300C Touring CRD officially hit the market near the end of 2005 and despite a few worries some drivers had, it was a big hit. The interior of this vehicle unfortunately follows the trend of most American cars and isn't really the best quality. In my opinion, a lot more could have been done to give it the much needed spice that most drivers hope for. The dashboard doesn't show any problems, and appears to be well built and sturdy. Aside from a few things like the trim on the doors and the center console, which have a fairly cheap look and feel, the rest of the interior looks solid. The interior components should easily last awhile for any type of driver. The driver and passenger seats are heated and quite large in size compared to most other vehicles. A plus side of having the large seats is that they are extremely comfortable to sit in. They also give you more than enough support for your whole body. Whether you are driving down the road or taking a long trip, you will definitely remain comfy and cozy throughout the duration of the drive. Your passengers in the rear can also enjoy a center armrest as well. The two front seats are completely electric adjustable and feature two memory presets to save your favorite positions. If you want, or are in need of a car with a lot of leg room, then the Chrysler 300C Touring CRD is definitely the car for you. The driver and any passengers will have more than enough room to remain comfortable. When sitting in the vehicle, you will be truly stunned by how much available room there actually is. Your passengers in the rear can enjoy the center armrest. To make it even roomier, you can fold down the rear seats to extend the space for your trunk when hauling larger loads. Overall you will be nothing but happy with the amount of space that you and your passengers are allotted. Another overly large component is the steering wheel. Unfortunately this is a bad thing and doesn't really fit to the driver's hands like it should. Along with being oversized, the steering wheel was made with faux wood grain materials which made it feel under padded and way too hard. With that said, this isn't the most comfortable steering wheel out there. On a plus side though, it comes equipped with steering wheel controls that make using the trip computer, CD player, radio, and the car configuration settings much easier and more efficient. Although you have plenty of room to sit comfortably in the car, this doesn't take away from the size of the trunk like most cars. In fact, the trunk of the 300C Touring CRD is actually huge. The trunk is about 772 liters in volume without the seats down, but if you fold the seats you will be treated with a total of 1602 liters of volume. With removable storage compartments plus the ability to fold down rear passenger seats, you will have more room than most drivers will ever need to store and haul your belongings around. Along with that the trunk also features a space saving spare tire, making the best use of the trunks space. From the outside view the trunk may appear to be a little awkward to use, but that is definitely not the case. When looking at the exterior of the Chrysler 300C, you will see an extremely good looking luxury vehicle. The stylish and well built design will definitely turn some heads as you are driving it down the road. If you look to the front of the vehicle you will see the dominating grille. Along with that you will notice the Xenon headlights that are accompanied by large indicator bulbs. You will also see the chrome strips that add to the luxurious style that can also be found on the wing mirrors as well. From a side view, you are sure to notice the Pirelli tires matched with 18 inch allow wheels sitting in the well designed wheel arches. The flow of the design for this vehicle is incredibly impressive. It's very sporty looking, but at the same time looks rather tough. No matter what angle you are viewing the exterior from, you are sure to be just as impressed as I was. The sound system used in this vehicle is the Boston Acoustics®, and it definitely impressed me even though it is only equipped with a single disc CD player. With the sound coming out of six different speakers with the help of a 276 watt amp, the sound is crystal clear and rather enjoyable. The standard features that you will find in this vehicle are as follows: front and read fog lamps, cruise control, single disc CD player, rear parking sensors, Xenon headlights accompanied with washers and an auto leveling system, trip computer, dual-zone climate controlled air conditioning, alarm system, automatically dimming interior mirror, and automatic windshield wipers. If you are looking to purchase a Chrysler 300C Touring CRD, you have four different engine choices to choose from. You can go with the 3.5 liter V6, the 3.0 liter turbo-Diesel V6, the 5.7 liter HEMI V8, or the ever so monstrous 6.1 liter SRT8 V8 engine. If you choose the basic 3.5 liter V6 you are looking at price around $56,990, the Diesel Touring is set at $60,990, the 5.7 liter HEMI V8 is set at $62,990, and the top of the line 6.1 liter SRT8 V8 Touring is priced at a whopping $74,990. Once you are actually driving the 300C Touring you will see that the handling is definitely not the best, but not the worst either. The suspension manages to handle the road quite well though. When driving over any bumps or holes in the road, the suspension is able to absorb a lot of the impact. So you don't have to be overly careful when driving around to ensure that you and your passengers are not bouncing around. The brakes also do their job quite well. The response time is quick and allows you to stop when needed with confidence. If you ever have to use the emergency brake, you won't have to worry because it does a great job of bringing the 1.8 ton vehicle to a screeching halt. With this in mind and combined with the Antilock Brake System, you will have no problems stopping the vehicle in any situation. In conclusion, the Chrysler 300C Touring CRD is nothing but a truly amazing car. Though it may lack some ground breaking features, the standard features are enough to get the job done. Having the choice of four different engines to get provides you with at least one option that will fit your needs. With everything combined you get a fuel efficient, long lasting, and extremely roomy vehicle for a decent price. I would recommend this to anyone who is in the market for a luxury car. |
