Holden Astra SRi Turbo Car Review Overview Other features that come in this car are power mirrors and
windows, a fantastic temperature system controlled by climate control, heated
mirrors, multiple fog lamps, and tinted windows. The Holden Astra SRi Turbo has
a fantastic first-glance value. The Astra SRi Turbo comes with a 2.0Liter,
4-cylinder engine. Luckily, there are plenty of positives about driving this
vehicle. The brakes in the vehicle are Anti Lock Brake System Brakes combined
with Brake Assist. Not only is it a safe car, but it is extremely fun to drive. Details There are plenty of other cars out there that are in the
same class of car as the Holden Astra SRi Turbo that easily compete with it.
Even so, there are so many positive things about this car in a reasonable price
range that it would be a crime not to at least look into it.
Upon opening the door, it is clear to see how sturdy the car
is-it is solidly made, which makes even the doors a little heavy to open!
Everything inside is well positioned and easy to manipulate and you can sit
back in the comfortable heated leather seats and ride easily. The driver has
the option to adjust the angle of the seat so that their most desired position
for driving can be found. That is a pretty cool option, especially since not
being able to sit comfortably while driving can be a big pain, and not being
able to safely manipulate the clutch and accelerator is downright dangerous.
Sitting as a driver or a passenger is an enjoyable thing for front seat
passengers, but it starts to get a little cramped for those passengers in the
backseat, especially if they are adults or older children. They would be
perfectly suitable for transporting things if that was the need you had. In
general, riding in the vehicle is quite nice most of the time, except for when
the driver pushes down hard on the accelerator, which can cause some extreme
engine noise in the inside of the vehicle, and on the outside for that matter.
One of my favorite things about the interior is the fact that there are
steering wheel controls, which I have always wanted! The driver can change
radio stations and CDs in the 6-disc CD player, turn up the volume for the
seven speakers, etc. just by using the wheels found on the steering wheel.
While some vehicles have this feature, but the controls are hard to manage and
require the driver to look down at them, this vehicle has steering wheel controls
that can easily be used while the driver has their full attention on the road
in front of them. It can’t get any easier than that! There is also a screen
inside the car that serves as an i-Drive feature, but it is said that this
feature is not as good as it could be and requires too much manipulation and
time for what it is worth. Other features that come in this car are power
mirrors and windows, a fantastic temperature system controlled by climate
control, heated mirrors, multiple fog lamps, and tinted windows. The Holden Astra SRi Turbo has a fantastic first-glance
value. It is very attractive and looks sporty and fun to drive. It is available
in three colors-black, white, and silver, which pleases just about everyone.
However, it does not turn everyone's head. There are plenty of people who will
not do a double take for it, but I personally think that the design of the
wheels, headlights, and overall body style is very pleasing! If you are looking for a fuel efficient option, you have
found it. With reported average fuel efficiencies of anywhere from 6.9L/100KM
to 10.1L/100KM, you would not have to go back to the gas station quite as often
for a fill up. Unfortunately, when you do fill up, you will not exactly have a
choice in what type of fuel you us-you are limited to 95 unleaded or 98 premium
unleaded. With the great fuel efficiency and the standard option of cruise
control, driving on long road trips would be a piece of cake. With one turn of the key, it becomes obvious that the car
has a decent amount of power under the hood. The Astra SRi Turbo comes with a
2.0Liter, 4-cylinder engine. Equipped with a 6 speed manual transmission, the
shifting is easy and smooth, unlike some automatic options. The brakes are fine
if you are driving casually and not for long periods of time, but if you are
taking longer, more demanding drives, the brakes start to give out a little bit
towards the end, which can be a little scary. Driving in reverse can be a little
tedious, as the line of sight out of the back window was very poor. These both
are definitely negative features of this vehicle. The reverse driving could've
easily been improved by some kind of park assist or parking sensors. Luckily,
there are plenty of positives about driving this vehicle. Take for instance the
Sport feature that can be activated by simply pushing a button on the inside of
the car that is located on the dashboard. By pushing this button, the Astra's
acceleration, traction control, power steering, suspension and shock absorber
capabilities are strongly increased. Be careful doing this, however, since the
steering can be a little tricky. Aside from this, driving the Astra is a
pleasure. It takes straight stretches and corners equally as well, especially
due to its nice wide tires. Occasionally you might encounter some understeering
issues, which should not be that big of a problem since the car is equipped
with an Electronic Stability Program. At a starting price of $35,350, the Holden Astra SRi Turbo
is definitely worthy of the price. It has some wonderful components that make
it a safe car to own. The brakes in the vehicle are Anti Lock Brake System
Brakes combined with Brake Assist. In addition, if the car is involved in an
accident, the brake and clutch will release. With other great safety features
like ESP, multiple airbags, and more, the Astra proves itself as a contender in
the 'safe car' market, despite the minor issues it can sometimes have with
steering. Not only is it a safe car, but it is extremely fun to drive. It has
some flaws in the reversing area and is not the easiest car to park, but it has
great fuel efficiency, and a stylish look. When it comes to competitors, the XR5 Turbo, Mazda3 MPS and
Golf GTI are all in the same price range. When you look at it that way, the
Astra has a lot of fighting to do to stay in front.
