Hyundai Grandeur Limited Car Review
Overview
The Grandeur is a front wheel drive vehicle with a
five-speed automatic transmission. It also has an Electronic Stability Program,
which is made to help stabilize the driving if the vehicle is out of control. You
can actually get the Grandeur in the Limited form or in the Grandeur V-6 form,
the Limited form being more expensive.
Details
Sure, the Grandeur has a lot of surprising components for a
Hyundai, but you might want to think twice before you buy one. Since this is
the first time Hyundai has ever given us a luxury car, we might want to watch
it for a while to see how things go-they may decide to make more like it, but
they may decide that this area of the market just doesn't work for them.
Like the outside, the interior is luxurious. Complete with
wood grain and leather seats, it truly exhibits class and style. Add to that
the basic features of cruise control, airbags for the passenger and driver and
front and side of the vehicle, an electronic rear sunshade, heated seats and
door mirrors, Xenon headlamps (which are self leveling), Anti Lock Brake System
Brakes, an automatic/night rear vision mirror, and a fantastic stereo system
(including a sub woofer)! The controls are all user friendly, including the
temperature gauges, which are climate controlled. If you are going on a trip of
any kind, the backseat passengers will be elated to have their spots-there is
plentiful room for them in both the seat itself and to put their legs/bags/etc.
on the floor. Whatever can't fit on the floor will easily fit in the trunk,
which can easily fit any luggage you might have on your trip.
Under the hood, the Grandeur has a 3.8 lt engine with a V-6.
The Grandeur is a front wheel drive vehicle with a five-speed automatic
transmission. It provides for quite a nice drive, and can hold its own with
some pretty speedy vehicles. If you are going on a long drive, you can expect a
smooth ride with little engine noise in the inside of the vehicle. It also has
an Electronic Stability Program, which is made to help stabilize the driving if
the vehicle is out of control. However, when it actually comes down to driving
it in areas where there are lots of curves, the Grandeur is not your best bet
since it is such a heavy vehicle. It doesn't take turns as well as some other
cars in the same class. It has a fuel efficiency of about 14L/100 KM.
There were always so many other classy vehicles out there
that I never really thought much about them. However, the new Hyundai Grandeur
Limited has a fantastic look on the outside-it definitely ranks up there with
the luxury sedans of its level. You can actually get the Grandeur in the
Limited form or in the Grandeur V-6 form, the Limited form being more
expensive.
If you decide that you do want to purchase the Hyundai,
that's perfectly fine. But don't be excited too quickly-just because it is
luxury class doesn't mean that it is still the typical Hyundai's price tag.
Coming in at $46,990, it is selling alongside the Nissan Maxima, which in my
opinion, would outdo the Grandeur. It does come with a 5 year/130,000 km
warranty, which is nice. Many would say that the car doesn't exactly measure up
to the price. You be the judge-is it for you, or would you rather buy one of
the competitors in its class?
