Mitsubishi Lancer ES Wagon Overview The visual appearance of the Mitsubishi Lancer ES Wagon is attractive however I can see myself buying another vehicle in the same price range before I bought this vehicle. The interior is great for a car in this price range. You get Antilock Brake System (ABS) brakes, power windows, airbags for both the driver and passenger, cruise control, a cargo blind, and central locks in the vehicle. Details The visual appearance of the Mitsubishi Lancer ES Wagon is attractive. It definitely does not look as "budget"; as it truly is. You would definitely look at the vehicle and think that you would be paying more for it than you really are. Though it won't win you any races, if you look under the hood, you will find a 4 cylinder, 2.4ltr engine and a five speed manual transmission. It produces quite a bit of power for a small car, which actually ends up being a bad thing. It's very likely that you will experience peeling out in this vehicle. In addition, if you are looking for a car that keeps the smooth ride on off-road surfaces, this is not the car for you-it is quite bumpy and ineffective.
The only thing that I've ever really known about Mitsubishi Lancers is that they are small and inexpensive. Now Mitsubishi has come out with the MY06 Lancer. It still has quite a low pricetag at $23,490, and gives you some great benefits for that price. While there are some things with the Mitsubishi Lancer ES Wagon that could be improved on, you need to look at what you are getting for such a low price. Sure, it is not the type of vehicle that I would buy for a person of my current status-no children and no need for a wagon. I can see myself buying another vehicle in the same price range before I bought this vehicle. However, if you need a car with a good bit of space on the inside to carry goods and/or passengers, but want it to be visually appealing, have good options for the interior, and be well-built vehicle, then you should absolutely check into the Mitsubishi Lancer ES Wagon. The interior is great for a car in this price range. Not only is it comfortable for the driver, but for the passengers as well. There are a couple of things that could be improved. First of all, the headrests in the backseat were hazards for the driver when trying to reverse or change lanes. Secondly, there is no center console between the driver and front passenger seat, which is unfortunate for two reasons. First of all, I quite enjoy putting my arm on that while I am driving, and often times your passenger does as well. Secondly, I store things in this console all the time-sunglasses, etc., so it is lacking in that area in my opinion. You get Antilock Brake System (ABS) brakes, power windows, airbags for both the driver and passenger, cruise control, a cargo blind, and central locks in the vehicle. In addition, there are your typical temperature and radio controls, complete with a CD player. One thing that has been said about the ES Wagon is the poor radio reception. If you are going on vacation or moving, you would be able to use the trunk, since it is of a good size and has plenty of room to transport things. You would also save money on gas. With a fuel efficiency of approximately 9.5L/100KM, you are getting a bargain for a car in this price bracket. |
