Peugeot 407 Coupe Car Review Overview Driving the car gives you a feeling of definite power. Although it is a heavy car, driving and maneuvering prove easy when on bends and curves thanks to the powerful engine and sport feature. The car comes with standard features such as leather seats(front seats are heated), electric doors, seats and windows, cruise control, parking and tire pressure sensors, fog lights, automatic headlights and windshield wipers, and a trip computer. The temperature system is controlled by climate control. Details The engine in the vehicle is a 2.7 Liter V6 Diesel, and is extremely powerful. The engine is also twin-turbo, giving it that extra boost that it needs. There is a pretty large gas tank in this car for its size-holding 67 Liters. Luckily, that fuel will last you some time at an average of 9.2L/100KM. In addition to the fantastic engine, the car has Anti Lock Brake System brakes complete with brake assist and EBD, plentiful airbags, traction control, ESP, and other features that make this vehicle a safe option.
Driving the car gives you a feeling of definite power. Although it would not seem like a car that is adequate for curvy roads and is meant to stay on straight stretches, the 407 Coupe proves this assumption very wrong. There is a feature that can be accessed by a button on the dashboard that will give this car the get up and go it needs while hugging corners like you would not believe. That feature is the Sport feature. When this car is in that particular mode, it is hard to make it have any errors in driving-it is nearly perfect in maneuvering. Despite the fact that it has a 6-speed automatic transmission, which can sometimes mean slower and more awkward shifting, the 407 Coupe can hold its own when going around curves, and can do so very quickly. Unlike some other cars, you come out of the corner smoothly instead of lagging because of the turbo feature. Despite all of the hard driving you could do with this car, the brakes and steering will both hold up and be excellent for the entire duration of driving. The brakes never get weaker and the steering is spot on. Be careful reversing or changing lanes, as there is somewhat of a blind spot out of the back window. Peugeot has a reputation of having styles that consumers do not always embrace. They set things at strange angles that are not always pleasing to the eye, and this has made many people expect this to be the norm for all cars they come out with. The Peugeot 407 Coupe is an exception. There are two types of the 407 Couple available. The Petrol Coupe can be purchased with a manual transmission for $65,990 or an automatic transmission for $68,190. The Diesel Coupe can be purchased only as an automatic transmission, and costs $72,500. In both cars, they obviously thought out the outstanding design that keeps people staring for hours. The design on things such as the windshield wipers, the wheels, and the overall appearance of the car is intricate and well planned. The big question will be answered inside the vehicle and under the hood-are the inside of the vehicle and the driving capabilities just as impressive as the aesthetics of the outside of the vehicle? Going on a road trip in this vehicle would be enjoyable for any passenger included. Not only are the front seats incredibly comfortable and roomy, but the back seat passengers will also have an abundance of space for not only their legs, but their heads as well (for tall people, like my dad!). There is room for two people in the back seat, no more than that. There is not even a seat belt for a third person in the back seat, so even if there are small passengers, the car is intended for four passengers. Unlike rear seats in some cars that are difficult to access because of the front seat not being able to be pushed very far forward, this is not a problem with the Peugeot 407 Coupe. It actually has an electronic feature that becomes activated as soon as you push the driver's seat forward. It moves the seat forward to allow access to the back seats. Once you are done, the seat moves back to its original position automatically. Another reason that this car would be great for a road trip is because of the fantastic amount of space in the trunk. There is plenty of room for lots of luggage or if you are just moving apartments or transporting things from one place to another. Unlike other cars that desperately need this feature, the Coupe has an LCD screen that is located in the center console that gives warnings (park assist, etc.).
It is obvious when first opening the door to the vehicle that it is sturdy and well built since the door is quite heavy to open. It is difficult enough opening on a straight stretch, but opening it on an incline would be a struggle. After successfully getting inside the vehicle and sitting down, it is obvious that the inside of the vehicle definitely holds up its end of the bargain in comparison with the aesthetics of the outside. Since it is so expensive, it is expected that the inside of the vehicle have comparable components to the outside of the vehicle. And that is most definitely the case. The car comes with standard features such as leather seats(front seats are heated), electric doors, seats and windows, cruise control, parking and tire pressure sensors, fog lights, automatic headlights and windshield wipers, and a trip computer. One of the more advanced features of the car is the hijack protection, which causes the car to lock when it is put into drive and accelerates over a certain speed. The driver controls are well organized and nice looking. It has a center console with a mass of controls and gadgets that operate the different systems included in the car. There are also areas for storage space in this vicinity. This is the area that controls things such as the temperate and audio systems. The audio system comes with a 6 disc CD player in the trunk and an impressive JBL system with a subwoofer! The temperature system is controlled by climate control. If there are multiple people that operate this vehicle, they can customize the settings using the LCD display that is located in the center area as well. In conclusion, this car is not what you think it would be by first glance. Sure, it is an attractive car that many people would buy simply for that reason alone. However, it surpasses that and becomes a great looking car with the capabilities of doing some serious driving on many types of roads, both straight and curvy. If you are looking for a car that can do these things and has a low price tag, then you absolutely need to look elsewhere. However, if you are looking for a car that drives like a dream, can be sporty or practical, is beautiful aesthetically, and is fully loaded with standard features, luxury features, and safety features, and you don't care about the cost, then you should check out the Peugeot 407 Coupe-it is absolutely worth it. |
