Peugeot 307 XSE

Overview

The XSE comes standard with Anti Lock Brake System Brakes, 16" alloy wheels, and the typical temperature controls, which are operated with climate control. The stereo is a single-disc CD-player. The cup holders in the front seat are also extremely small, not allowing much space for larger cups or bottles. The seats are comfortable and the vehicle has six airbags, including side and driver and passenger airbags. While most cars have the pedals centered or aligned to the right, this car has the pedals to the left. Also worth noting are the brakes.

With a moderate price tag-coming in at $28,990 you don't exactly expect luxury. There are parts of this vehicle however that are pleasing, but there are also things that could definitely be improved upon.

Details

The interior of the 307 XSE is fantastic. Everything is user friendly and all gadgets are in convenient reach for both the driver and passengers. The XSE comes standard with Anti Lock Brake System Brakes, 16" alloy wheels, and the typical temperature controls, which are operated with climate control. In addition, there are electric windows and locks. The locks are somewhat noisy. One of the things I like most about the 307 XSE is that there are stereo controls on the steering wheel. You can adjust the volume, change CD tracks and radio stations, and operate the cruise control, all by pressing a button of the steering wheel. The stereo is a single-disc CD-player. Unfortunately, it has been rumored that the sound system in the vehicle is not the best due to bad radio reception and inadequate speakers. The storage part of the vehicle also left much to be desired. Another common misconception is that there is abundant glove box space. However, when you actually open the glove compartment, there is very little space. The cup holders in the front seat are also extremely small, not allowing much space for larger cups or bottles. On a positive note, whether you are taking a quick trip to work or a road trip with friends, the driver and all passengers will ride in comfort and safety. The seats are comfortable and the vehicle has six airbags, including side and driver and passenger airbags. If there is a collision, the front end has been built to minimize possible injury to pedestrians. There is also plenty of space for transporting things in the back of the vehicle, though the cargo net that is there will not do you much good, since it is not big enough.

Peugeot 307 XSE

Driving the 307 XSE has been said to be a not-so-comfortable experience. While most cars have the pedals centered or aligned to the right, this car has the pedals to the left. In addition, there is not a place to rest your foot while driving, which can lead to driving being uncomfortable. On the other hand, the car handles extremely well. It was easy to maneuver and clings well to the road, especially through curvier areas. Also worth noting are the brakes. With the ABS brakes, it is already a near shoe-in. The brakes do not require harsh stomping to stop, but are not overly touchy either. If in a near-collision situation, the brakes would most likely keep the driver from hitting something, if it was all up to the quality of the brakes.

The outside features of the car are advanced technologically, including automatic-dimming mirrors, halogen headlights, and windshield wipers. The engine definitely does its job, and at its peak is quite impressive for a car of its size. In addition, it has an impressive fuel efficiency of approximately 10.3L/100KM, which is not bad at all.

Sure, the Peugeot 307 XSE has a moderate price tag-coming in at $28,990, so you don't exactly expect luxury. There are parts of this vehicle that are pleasing, but there are also things that could definitely be improved upon.

In conclusion, you want to consider both the positive and negative comments that have been made about this vehicle. While there are things about the car that make it appealing, there are fundamental things that are wrong. It might be a wise idea to check the market for other options in this price range. You would most likely be happy taking home another vehicle.
