Saab 900 Gli Car Review Overview In my opinion, it is not an attractive car. Many drivers have said that it is a dependable car. For a front wheel drive vehicle, the car is pretty impressive in its driving capabilities. If you're looking for a speed demon vehicle, this is absolutely not the car for you. In fact, if you are looking for a car with just a fast 0-100kph rate, this is not the car for you. Just keep in mind, other cars will most definitely have more interior features and possibly under the hood features. Details If you're looking for a car with immense get-up-and-go characteristics, the Saab 900 Gli is not the option for you. This is one of the things that drivers have complained about. The acceleration in the beginning is not the quickest pick up, but this can be improved if the car is equipped with the turbo charger. Unfortunately, not all of the Saabs have the turbo charger as a standard feature. For a front wheel drive vehicle, the car is pretty impressive in its driving capabilities. Whether you are on a straight road or a curvy one, it is smooth and snugly fitted to the road, so it hugs corners well, making it fun to drive. The driver's area is extremely comfortable, making it a good car to take on short or long trips. Even the sound that the 2.0 liter engine makes when it is working is pleasant to hear. It does have a little difficulty maintaining that nice sound when it is close to the red line, but on a longer stretch you will enjoy driving it once it is at a comfortable speed.
There have been no negative features reported about the interior of the vehicle. However, the interior standard features are nothing special. It does have heated seats, which are always a nice feature to have in a vehicle, especially if you live in a cold place. All controls for gadgets and the temperature/audio controls are conveniently located and user-friendly. In addition, the car just has a feel of stability and comfort for both the driver and the passengers-it is easily known that the car is well built. Unfortunately, you could definitely find better features in other vehicles in the same price range. From the outside of the Saab 900 Gli, there is absolutely nothing special to see. In my opinion, it is not an attractive car. Many drivers have said that it is a dependable car. It's quite obvious that the car is heavy and strongly built, but unfortunately, the not-so-attractive outside is not the end of the negatives with the Saab 900 Gli. The main area that drivers have had major issues with is under the hood of the car. Firstly, there have been problems with components of the vehicle breaking-such as the accelerator cable and the gear stick lever. In addition, the brakes are not the best-not only have they been reported to go out after a short amount of time, but the brake lights go out quickly as well! Other problems have been reported with the starter motor, head gasket, shifting into higher gears, and the engine temperature rising rapidly, which can mean the end of your engine. If you're looking for a speed demon vehicle, this is absolutely not the car for you. In fact, if you are looking for a car with just a fast 0-100kph rate, this is not the car for you. But there is something to be said for a car that has the solid feeling that makes you feel like you will own this car for a long time. If that's what you are looking for, the Saab 900 Gli is definitely worth looking at. Just keep in mind, other cars will most definitely have more interior features and possibly under the hood features. However, those cars are quite often not as well built as the Saab, which makes it a definite contender. So with all of the things that have been said to go wrong with the Saab 900 Gli, why would anyone want to think about making a long term investment and buying it? Well, it's just that-this is a car that, unlike more cheaply-made vehicles, will last you for years down the road. You may have to spend a little money to fix issues, but that's no big deal if you feel safe getting from Point A to Point B. Besides, just about any car that you keep for more than a few years will most likely need some kind of work done. |
