Volkswagen Jetta TDI Car Review Overview If you're looking for a unique car that's visually like no other, then the Volkswagen Jetta TDI is definitely NOT for you. The Jetta TDI has a 2L turbo Diesel engine and a six speed manual transmission, which is extremely quick and powerful for such a small car. For driving around the city or taking drives with a passenger in the front, the Jetta is perfect-both the driver and passenger will be very comfortable. Details The Jetta TDI has a 2L turbo Diesel engine and a six speed manual transmission, which is extremely quick and powerful for such a small car. Like most cars with diesel engines and manual transmissions, the car has a quick pick up and smooth shifting between gears, which is an advantage. It is also appealing because of the fantastic fuel efficiency, which is typical in most diesel engines-with an average of 7L/100KM, it will be a long time between trips to the gas station. One of the downsides of the components under the hood is the fact that the brakes, which seem strong at first, seem to decrease in power when they are used frequently.
The inside of the vehicle is mostly attractive upon first opening the door, other than the strange oversized accelerator, but since there is really nothing outstanding about it, it gets old fast. The inside does light up at night, which is nice, but the arrangement of the controls and other features is not that outstanding. One benefit of this simplistic design is the fact that it is user-friendly. Temperature and stereo controls are both within easy reach for both the driver and the passenger. The temperature is climate controlled, and the stereo is great as well. The standard features for this vehicle include cruise control, Anti Lock Brake System brakes, heated door mirrors, an auto dimming rearview mirror, electric locks and windows, parking sensors, and the Electronic Stability Program. For driving around the city or taking drives with a passenger in the front, the Jetta is perfect-both the driver and passenger will be very comfortable. On the other hand, it might not be the best vehicle for a longer road trip with backseat passengers, simply because there is not as much leg room for passengers in the backseat. This is because of two things. First of all, the Jetta isn't a large car to begin with, so the leg room in the backseat is expected to be minimal. Secondly, the trunk is so large that it takes some of the backseat space. This is where a road trip with one passenger in the front seat would be pleasurable. There is plenty of space to store luggage or other things that you need to transport in the trunk. If you're looking for a unique car that's visually like no other, then the Volkswagen Jetta TDI is definitely not for you. It pretty much is a Volkswagen Golf in a sedan form. And that's not such a bad thing. The styling is aesthetically pleasing and there are many other positives to the Jetta as well. With a price tag of $35,490, there are many other cars that compete with the Jetta, but its pertinent to look at all aspects of the car before making a decision, because the Jetta has some great things to offer. In conclusion, there is not much to the exterior of the Volkswagen Jetta TDI. However, it doesn't always have to be entirely unique to be impressive. The exterior is pleasant, and with the interior components and what is under the hood, the Jetta starts to look better and better. When a $35,490 car has an outstanding fuel efficiency of 7L/100KM, it becomes a fierce contender in its particular price bracket. If you are commonly taking around groups of people, including rear passengers, this might not be the car for you. But if the back seat space is not imperative and the fuel efficiency and driving capabilities matter more, then the Volkswagen Jetta TDI is worth taking a look at. |
