The interior of the Volkswagen Passat TFSI is absolutely wonderful. One of the features is the key and starter system, and feature that is greatly appreciated is the front and rear parking sensors. The Passat TFSI is definitely another victory for Volkswagen. Details When looking at the exterior of the car you may see that it is quite reminiscent of the style and design used on the Volkswagen Jetta. The most noticeable difference between the two cars is the two exhaust pipes that can be found sticking out the back of the Passat. From the back view you will also see one of the smoother looking features which is the VW symbol on the trunk. At first glance it is nothing but an emblem, but when you flip it open it serves as a handle to open the trunk with. If you are looking at the side of the car, you will see the wonderful looking chrome highlights and door handles that are the same color as the body of the car. You can also see what has been dubbed as puddle lights, which give you extra vision at night when exiting and entering the vehicle. If you are standing in front of the car you will see the contrasting detail of the chrome. The four little dots that you see are the locations of the four front parking sensors. In short, the exterior of the car doesn't show any noticeable eye sores or problems.
The Volkswagen Passat TFSI is a very dignified looking sedan. This car is very impressive looking from the outside and will most likely make a good first impression on anyone who sees it. With that said, let's take a look at what the Passat TFSI is all about and see if it is worth what it seems. The interior of the Volkswagen Passat TFSI is absolutely wonderful. With the option to get leather interior for $2,990 or the sun-roof for $1,990, you can add a sportier look to the car. The leather seats are beige and match the dashboard giving the vehicle a very graceful and stylish appearance. As good as the seat look though, they don't really offer any side support. As a result of this, you can often find yourself sliding around when taking sharp corners. However the backseat is the complete opposite, providing a very comfortable ride even on long trips. Passengers in the backseat can also enjoy the center console that can fold out into two robust cup holders. When the console is folded down, passengers can also use the lockable trap door for easy and quick access to the trunk. You will find the gear shifter housed in a layer of leather, which wouldn't be a bad thing except it can make it hard to see what gear you are in when shifting. Since it is covered you won't be able to distinguish between the color of the selected gear and the color of the deselected gear. The Passat TFSI has a few features that set it aside from the rest. One of the features is the key and starter system. When looking at the key, you will notice that it is a rectangular-oval like shape that cleanly fits into a slot located in the dashboard of the car. This is how you start up the car, which is a nice change from the old fashioned keys most people are used to. Another cool feature that isn't common among many vehicles is the electromechanical parking brake. The electronic control system networks with other control units and allows the incorporation of a starting assistant, which can be used when going uphill. It also allows the integration of a dynamic emergency brake function and a very impressive auto hold system, which lets you stop at red lights and stop signs without having to keep your foot on the brake the whole time. As far as storage space goes in the Passat TFSI, there is plenty of it. The only downfall to these places of storage is the placement and depth of them can make it very difficult to get to if you need to clean them. So if a coke leaks a bit into one of the cup holders, you may have a pretty tough time getting that stain out. However, one of the most innovative places to store things is the umbrella holder that is to be found in the driver's door panel. Normally, there is never a good place to keep your umbrella other than your trunk and that doesn't do you much good when it's already raining. With this storage location it makes it much easier to tote around your umbrella without it being overly invasive to you or your passengers. Another place with tons of storage space is no other than the trunk itself. Boasting a capacity of 565L, you are sure to have plenty of room to store your luggage or any necessities in the trunk. A feature that is greatly appreciated is the front and rear parking sensors. With these sensors parking is easier and safer. A few of the other features included with this model are the Antilock Brake System (ABS), Electronic Stability Program (ESP), automatic headlights, air bags for the driver, side passenger, and rear passengers, dual-zone climate control air conditioning, 6 disc changing CD player hooked up to 8 speakers, heated seats, and automatic windshield wipers. When it comes down to the way the Passat TFSI drives, you will be very pleased with the results. The steering wheel is located in a great position and makes handling very easy. However, because of the Passat's weight you don't want to push the limits to far. The body roll is apparent when you attempt to take it though a sharp curve. It certainly would have been great to see the suspension with a much firmer setup. If they would have done that I believe that the body roll would have been decreased greatly, but at the same time it would make the quality of the ride decrease as well so maybe it was done for the best. In conclusion, the Passat TFSI is definitely another victory for Volkswagen. With many great features and a better than average appearance, you will be more than happy with this car. If you want a quality and reliable luxury sedan made for the family, then this is your best bet. You won't be sorry once you hop in the driver seat and give it a spin. |
