Volkswagen Polo TDI

Overview

It is an extremely user friendly car, and would make a great first car for someone, even for a person who had never before driven a manual transmission vehicle!

The Volkswagen Polo TDI is the leader of the pack in the Polo series. Because of the rapidly rising popularity of diesel vehicles, cars like this are in high demand. Not only is this aspect of the car attractive, but overall it is a moderately priced, easy to drive, user friendly car that gets great gas mileage.

With a four-cylinder diesel engine, this little car has a lot more power than you would expect. The Volkswagen Polo is equipped with a five speed manual transmission, which is always a plus. It is an extremely user friendly car, and would make a great first car for someone, even for a person who had never before driven a manual transmission vehicle! It handles very well on the road, making it pleasant to operate, which is always a plus! Most diesels have a reputation of being too noisy on the inside, and though the Volkswagen Polo TDI does have some engine noise, it is not overbearing and is easy to tune out. One thing that can be aggravating, though it was designed with safety in mind, is the automatic lock feature. This is a feature in my personal vehicle, and it can be quite an annoyance at some times. The feature is made to lock doors when the vehicle reaches a certain speed.

VW Polo TDI

Sure, the Volkswagen Polo TDI is no competition to luxury cars when it comes to aesthetics, but it can compete in other areas, and should not be passed up without at least looking into it. For a starting price of $22,990, it is mega-affordable for almost anyone looking for a vehicle. This puts it in the running with the likes of the Ford Focus and such. For the quality of the driving, fuel efficiency, and comfort, the price is well suited for the car.

When you first open the door and take a look inside, the car is automatically impressive because of the abundance of space for such a small car. Though it could be labeled as a less-expensive car, the interior does not give off that impression. It may not have the flashiest interior, but it is user-friendly and comfortable, and is perfect for first time drivers because of its ease of use. It is equipped with basic features on the inside, with a decent stereo system. A common complaint about the stereo system is the fact that the user cannot control the specifics of the sound, just the general volume controls. Even though it is a small car, it can still be suitable for shorter road trips. The passenger room is suitable for all passengers, though not as roomy as bigger cars. Not only is there a great deal of space in the car, but in the trunk as well, making it a good option to transport things in the trunk or take road trips with luggage stored in the trunk. You will also be pleased with the fantastic fuel efficiency that this vehicle gets-on average 6.5L/100KM-that is outstanding! And despite the fact that the tank is a little smaller than others, it does hold the gas for quite some time before needing to be refilled!

In conclusion, the Volkswagen Polo TDI is the leader of the pack in the Polo series. Because of the rapidly rising popularity of diesel vehicles, cars like this are in high demand. Not only is this aspect of the car attractive, but overall it is a moderately priced, easy to drive, user friendly car that gets great gas mileage. It is an obvious solution that you really can't go wrong with.
