One thing that is attractive about the vehicle is that it is extremely safe to drive and ride in. It handles extremely well for a vehicle as large as it is, and despite the size, does not feel top heavy around corners. Not only does the car have safety features for its own passengers, such as multiple airbags, but it also has features that minimize the amount of damage done if an accident with a pedestrian should occur, which I think should be on every car! Another component that adds to the safety of the feature but is an additional cost is the parking sensor system, which can come in extremely handy if you get the additional spare tire. That does not mean that there are no negatives to this vehicle-there most certainly are. If you are driving on a somewhat curvy road there is a great chance that you might experience turbo lag, and intense driving could make you a little anxious since the steering wheel is not that reactive. Even so, it has plenty of space for passengers and has a fuel efficiency of approximately 11.2L/100KM, which is amazing considering the vehicle size.

On the outside, there is no denying that it is a fantastic looking vehicle. Large and powerful in stature, the Volkswagen Polo Touareg R5 TDI Luxury is designed to a tee on the outside-from the overall style design to the choices made for the tires. In addition, it truly exudes luxury as soon as you set foot into the vehicle. And for approximately $80,000, it should! All around you is beautiful wood grain paneling, and there are so many buttons and so many gadgets that it is overwhelming!

There are some things about the car that are new and improved, such as the method of starting the vehicle. It has a safe feature that requires the driver to step on the brake while turning the key to start the engine. This is something I have just always done automatically, but the key will not start that car without the brake being pushed down. Once you finally do get it started, you are in for a surprise. With a 2.5 Liter 5 cylinder engine that is Turbo Diesel, the vehicle does not make such a powerful noise-in fact, it is fairly unimpressive. Do not be fooled, however, as this car has plenty of power under the hood. It honestly would have been even better had it had an option for Rear Wheel Drive, but that was a minor factor. With a six speed automatic transmission, the car has two transmission modes-'D' and 'S'. Many people prefer to use the 'S' mode the most as it will shift the easiest and is on point with driving. It has been said that the 'D' mode is simply not responsive enough and automatically shifts, which can be very aggravating. Though this vehicle may not be the fastest in a drag race, it definitely will let everyone around know you mean business when you put the pedal to the metal.

You will not be disappointed by most of the different features in the interior of the vehicle. If you purchase the Touareg R5 Luxury, you can look forward to having heated leather seats, electric windows and seats, retractable and heated mirrors, to name a few things. In addition, the sound system is outstanding and the temperature system is controlled by climate control. One of the downsides about these systems is that there were no controls for them on the steering wheel, which is somewhat surprising considering that this is a new, luxury vehicle. Also negative is the fact that there is not much storage space in the glove compartment, which is where many people store manuals, registration or insurance papers, sunglasses, etc. If you opt to get the spare tire attached to the back, which is an additional cost, you might experience some problems with the line of sight in reverse because of the height of the tire position.

In addition, it is a surprisingly good option for a 4WD vehicle. There are many 4WD vehicles that claim that title and do not deserve it when fully put to the test, but this is not the case with the Touareg R5 TDI. For a luxury car, it is also a fun option to take off-road, which sets it apart from many luxury 4WD vehicles.

In conclusion, the Touareg has many components that make it worth purchasing. Strangely enough, it has the statistics of a small car in a big car's body. That is a very good thing with today's fuel prices. Luckily, owners of the Touareg can look forward to owning a sporty vehicle while still taking advantage of not having to fill up the tank as often and having a vehicle that can still drive well. In addition, an owner can have a luxury vehicle during the weekday treks to and from work, and on the weekends take that same vehicle to an outdoors trip with friends or family. If you have the money to afford it and are looking for an SUV type vehicle that is luxurious but sporty at the same time, you should absolutely check it out.
